"Sudoku Solver" used on this web site is using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).  Over the version up, it has become  version:C  and it has devolved to be able to solve the World's Hardest Sudoku.  Please use it when you want an answer  that you can not solve.  If you have the good quality software, you can solve sample that people can not solve in a short  time.  The puzzle called Sudoku is a good puzzle for computers.

In order to use this Sudoku Solver, Microsoft OFFICE (Excel) is required, and at the time of operation it is necessary to  enable  macros.

1.   How to use  
�@   Press the “Initialize” button.  
�A   Manually enter the Sudoku sample.  
�B   Press the “Start” button.  
�C   When the answer is given, the message “Done, Please click OK !” Appears.  
�D   Press the “OK” button.  
�E   Along with the result, the level, trial status, and elapsed time are also displayed.  
     (Cells entered as questions are displayed in black, and answer cells are displayed in  red.)  
�F   To print, press the “Print” button.  
     (Enter the sample name if necessary)  

2.   Display description 
�@   Beginner:   Beginner level  
�A   Intermediate:   Intermediate level  
�B   Advanced:   Advanced level  
�C   Super:   Mania level  
  (Note) Although the level of Sudoku Solver and the class of beginner to advanced  in this web site are relatively related,  they do not necessarily match.  
�D   CH:   Type of trial calculations  
�E   Trial #:   Number of trial calculations on specified CH  
�F   Total trial:   Total number of trial calculations  
�G   Elapsed time (seconds):   Time required for analysis  
  (Note) Elapsed time is depended on PC resources   e.g. type of CPU, CPU clock, memory

3.   Other  
�@   Since macros are used, enable them.  
�A   If you give a wrong problem, you may get the following message  i.e."Sorry , give up. . "
�B   If analysis is not possible, the message “Sorry , give up. .” will appear and  an X will appear in the super level  field.  
�C   Since the sheet is protected, you cannot enter anything other than the cells that  require input.

�@   This Sudoku Solver was developed for personal hobbies There is no guarantee for its accuracy, feasibility, uniqueness  etc.  This web site is not responsible for the results.  
�A   Modification or unauthorized use of this Sudoku Solver is strictly prohibited.  

　  We analyzed "the World's Hardest Sudoku" with Sudoku Solver.  Super level, CH: 3, Total trial 8, it took about 5.6  seconds.  According to Dr. Arto Inkala of Finland who created this sample, "It usually takes several days to solve this  problem with logic alone."

                   
 
　  Other examples of super level samples and solutions are shown for your better understanding. The person who says "I  am advanced class" may take about one hour for each sample.
